Arc Flash Labels and the SafetyPro

There has been a growing recognition of arc flash as a serious hazard that has not properly addressed in the past. An important part of arc flash safety is using labels and signs to warn employees, contractors and visitors about arc flash hazards.

The SafetyPro can print arc flash labels, but may not have the selection of supplies available that provides the versatility that allows you to create an arc flash labeling and sign system that is consistent with your existing standards. And even when the supplies you need are available, you'll be paying 25% more than you need to have paid.

Give us a call at 1-877-597-8833 and our experts will be happy to discuss your SafetyPro arc flash labeling options. We stock three different types of label materials. We have preprinted die-cut labels that are available with either English or Spanish headers. You have the option of husing either a DANGER or WARNING header, so the signal word can be appropriate for the hazard level (meaning your labels will comply with the ANSI code.) We also offer blank die-cut labels, two-color continuous vinyl, and single color continuous vinyl supplies for your Safety Pro. No other supplier has such a wide selection of supplies for the SafetyPro printer.

In addition, with our supplies you have options for how to print labels or signs. You can use software you already have such as Microsoft Word to print any size label from a small 4x6 inch label to a sign that is 2 x 4 (feet) in size... and larger. We also have database software that diretly prints arc flash labels and allows keeps a record of your labels. Give us a call today at 1-877-597-8833 for more information.

SafetyPro Vinyl Options

It's not a good idea to use a screwdriver as a hammer, and trying to use a screwdriver as a wrench is completely futile. Using the right tool for the job is fundamental, and that also applies to labels and signs. Using the wrong vinyl tape can result in labels that don't last, or worse yet labels that do not clearly communicate their message... resulting and confusion and errors.

What's even better is when you can use the right tool and save money. That is what we offer you for your SafetyPro printer. We carry a wider selection of vinyl tapes for the SafetyPro and you'll typically save 25% when purchasing supplies for your SafetyPro printer from us.

For example, not only do we carry premium 3.0 mil vinyl tape supplies, we also carry a lighter weight 2.0 mil vinyl tape. What's the difference? The 3.0 mil vinyl is sturdier and more durable. However, it is a much stiffer tape. The 2.0 mil vinyl is more flexible, allowing it to conform to better curved and irregular surfaces, and stay stuck to those types of surfaces. So, depending on the type of of surface, a 2.0 mil vinyl may provide a longer life than the thicker 3.0 mil vinyl.

Give us a call today at 1-877-597-8833 and talk with one of our label and sign making experts. We'll be glad to help you select the right tape for the job, so that you get the best, most durable labels and signs... and you save money.

Ribbons For The SafetyPro

Let's start at the beginning. Without a ribbon your SafetyPro can't print anything. Without a quality ribbon you will not be getting durable, clear, effective labels and signs. Without the right ribbon, you may get no printing at all.

What do I mean by "the right ribbon". Different types of label materials have different characteristics. The "inks" from some types of ribbons may adhere to one type of material, but not to another. For example, the ribbon used to print on vinyl tapes will not print well on polyolefin shrink tubing. Of course, in the past that was not a problem because the maker of the SafetyPro does not have shrink tube material available for the SafetyPro. But we do. And we have the right ribbons for printing on polyolefin shrink tube.

Another consideration is how the label will be used. What type of environment will it be exposed to? SafetyPro ribbons are chemical resistant, just as our ribbons are also chemical resistant. But "chemical resistant" does not mean the printing will resists all types of chemicals. Take petroleum products for example. They are common and they dissolve a wide variety of materials, including the chemical resistant printing on your labels. If you need labels and signs that can stand up to exposure to petroleum products, you need to use a petroleum resistant ribbon.

We stock petroleum resistant ribbons for the SafetyPro printer. The last time we checked they were not available from the maker of the SafetyPro.

You'll hear that a lot. There are a lot of supplies that are not available from the maker of the SafetyPro... but you'll be able to get them from us.
