SafetyPro Tip - Black Marks On Labels

Here's A SafetyPro Tip:

Does the first label you print have a black bar across it and need to be reprinted?

What has happened is that several labels had been previously printed on the SafetyPro. This heated up the print head. Once the SafetyPro had finished printing labels there was sufficient residual heat in the printhead, that with the printhead in constant contact with the ribbon and label material, that it slowly melted the ink onto the ribbon. This resulted in a black mark on the material that would be used to print the next label.

To prevent this from happening, when you are finished printing labels, open the SafetyPro so that the printhead is no longer in contact with the label material. It only takes a few moments to cool, then the machine can be closed.
